Ceramic Postman hanging A
The ceramic Postman was inspired by the funerary posts of the Giriama Tribe, Kenya. These were carved wooden posts engraved with motifs depicting the deceased’s wealth. The original posts were made out of hard wood and placed outside the man’s house. As these posts were exposed to the elements, they eroded and finally disintegrated. We have embellished the Postman with a ceramic African Mask. Please note that colour choice applies mainly to the Mask.
